Gareth is a Partner at Martin Shepherd having joined the company as a trainee in 1997 and going on to qualify as a solicitor in 1998.
Gareth specialises in the Wills and Probate/Estate Administration and is Head of the department. In addition, he deals with Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications.
When dealing with Probate, Gareth is always very aware of inheritance tax and pleased to advise where it can be reduced or avoided, including, where necessary, varying estates to make them more tax efficient.
Gareth has an excellent eye for detail and is meticulous in his work ensuring that all his clients’ matters are dealt with as quickly and as efficiently as reasonably possible. He prides himself on being able to deal with correspondence by return and giving practical and cost saving advice where possible.
